Mobilizing Innovation
Applied Research and Innovation is a priority of AACTI member institutions that is both informing curriculum and bridging new relationships with the communities they serve. Faculty and staff routinely pursue scholarly activities and probe for new knowledge that can influence curriculum relevance. These pursuits ensure best-in-class career development programs that are graduating skilled workers to help both advance innovation and strengthen Alberta’s global competitiveness. In addition, AACTI institutions ensure new technologies and best practices are accessible to life-long learners through custom program offerings.

Emerging Platform
This Pan-Alberta system has established relationships with industry, government departments, and not-for-profit community-based entities. A new Alberta applied research and innovation platform is emerging that is aligning AACTI member institutions’ resources (human, and physical assets) with collaborators to serve community-based innovation needs
