Community of Practice (COP) Clusters
In May 2006, AACTI launched the Community of Practice (COP) initiative as a strategic action to support the expansion of AACTI member institutions’ applied research and innovation priority. The objective of the COP initiative is to create new pathways for participants to share experiences, explore opportunities of mutual interest, and exchange knowledge on best practices.

A COP can be established as either a public or private form. This decision, along with other privacy settings, is determined by the leader (person who initiated COP) and members.

The following COP Clusters have been established to help you navigate faster to active COP’s on this website.

AACTI is currently supporting COP Cluster Development Chairs in the four sector- oriented clusters – Community Development, Energy and Environment, Health, and IT & New Media. These Development Chair roles support the interchange of knowledge, experiences, and skills among COP members. In addition, they facilitate actions that help bridge college and institute competencies with government, industry, and not-for-profit community-based entities to entice both collaborative and client relationships.
